Since this year's OOPSLA conference (as well as the Dynamic Languages Symposium) will be held in Montreal in October, the Montreal Scheme/Lisp User Group will hold its monthly meeting on the last day of the conference, i.e. on Thursday, October 25th at 6PM.
For this very special occasion, we will have two talks instead of just one. One by a well-known Schemer, Manuel Serrano, on Hop, and another one by a well-known Lisper, Pascal Costanza, on Context-Oriented Programming.
So don't miss this opportunity to join one of the most vibrant Scheme/Lisp Community!
Note: I make this early announcement only to let people schedule their flight accordingly. We plan to hold a regular meeting in September too.

thanks
Heri: I would gladly present at SAT myself, bu there may be a special event at OOPSLA that night. Let met check.
And it's OOPSLA that ends on 25th, not the DLS.
Hi Dominique,
I just saw your blog posting regarding the October meeting of the MSLUG. Sounds like it will be a terrific meeting! I am planning to come to Montreal for part of that week and hope that I can attend your MSLUG meeting. However, I noted that you plan to have the meeting on Thursday, the 25th. I realize that there are probably very good reasons for having the meeting on the Thursday; however, if you can change the date, you might want to consider holding the meeting on Monday, the 22nd instead for the following reasons:
1. The Dynamic Languages Symposium (DLS: http://www.swa.hpi.uni-potsdam.de/dls07/) will be held on Monday, the 22nd. If a Lisper is only planning to come to 1 day of the conference, the DLS day would probably be the one they would attend.
2. Thursday is the last day of the conference - frequently, conference attendees (especially west coasters) will fly home on the afternoon of the last day of the conference.
3. Thursday is the last day of the conference - oftentimes, people are a bit "burnt out" by then and are less likely to attend yet another meeting. By holding the meeting on Monday, you will catch people while they are still "fresh".
I hope I will be able to attend the MSLUG meeting. It would also be nice to have a chat with you about potential cooperation on some activities with the Vancouver Lisp Users Group (lispvan).
