Extended desktops and Compiz

This morning, I realized that Compiz was not working anymore. I could not remember when it stopped working, but I remembered having a similar problem a month ago, when using my Wubi-based install of Ubuntu.

After a few minutes of googling around, I found that this probably happened after connecting a projector (or another monitor) on my laptop. If that happens again, I just need to issue the following command:

  % sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

and restart X (by just logging out and in).
